OOC intro
Welcome to the game's first OOC meet and greet post! Feel free to introduce yourself, talk about the canons you play from or any others you want to promote or get people interested in, throw out plotting ideas, discuss desired CR, and so forth!
Housekeeping Notes:
1. Public apps are now closed, as are reserves. The Taken List has been updated and will continue to be updated as more people add their characters.
2. Remember, private applications do not close.
You may qualify for private applications if one of the following is true:
* you are friends with a mod
OR
* you are friends with a current player.
While mods have the final say on acceptances, current players have unlimited invites!
At this stage, you can also just, y'know, ask a mod for an invite. I mean, we're still small and just getting off the ground, so I really am all about more folks coming if they want to come. I'm mostly focused on getting everyone in and getting us plotting ahead over the next week.
3. I also adjusted the dates on the calendar just slightly, mainly in that I am giving myself a free weekend to work on setting up for the upcoming round of OOC plotting. Currently, I'm tentatively looking to April 3rd for the first event, but it might be a bit later depending on how the next week goes and the vibes I'm seeing from everyone, as well as my own schedule. Quests will also go up in April, and the pages will start to be filled out. At this rate, I'm hoping to maybe get player plots rolling then, too!
All that having been said, welcome, everyone! I'm so excited to meet you all! As you know, my name is Amber, and I'll be your mod here. I spent about a year building this game, and I hope for your characters to have some fantastic adventures within it, and I'll do my best to facilitate. I really delighted in reading your applications. People put a lot of thought into how their characters will interact with the setting, and I've been really impressed by what everyone is doing so far and by the way you're all engaging! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all as both a mod and a fellow player. So let us go forth and play!

Shannon | Libra
Name's Shannon, and right now I'm bringing in Libra from Fire Emblem: Awakening. He's definitely 'gender', and won't be offended you call him a woman, it happens all the time. He's post game, so all of his trauma is done and he's a traumatized magical war veteran. He's super nice and helpful and a gentle dude, until you make him mad, and then you might be dust.
As for me, the player? I'm your typical nerdy adult gremlin (and possibly three penguins in a trenchcoat). I have a full time office job and spend the rest of the time knitting or playing video games and save scumming every time I die. Current faves are: Honkai Star Rail, Cyberpunk 2077, Dead by Daylight, and LIBERTEA (helldivers 2). You'll also see me hopping around in the Discord every once in a while when I'm feeling chatty... I'm an introvert and it shows.
Contact? You can DM Libra's journal, hit me up on Discord at warpenguin, and feel free to add me on plurk at
Uh, I think that's it. Oh! I'm in the Upper Left US, so Pacific time zone, so you may not see tags from me until evenings or weekends.

Fire Emblem is one of those canons I've been meaning to check out for a while now. I am thinking of picking up gaming in general again this year, and I am sure you guys have a lot of recs. HSR and Cyberpunk 2077 seem to be favorites here. Maybe I should make a rec list, lol.
I'm always partial to androgynous mad pansexual energy characters
looks at Gilgamesh's bae...and I would be happy to plot any of mine with yours. The discussion with Sakura and Libra is looking to be interesting, and I would be happy to get him and Gil on some stuff as well. Is Libra going to the tech side or magic? I can't recall, but either way, we can deffo plot.no subject
As for Libra... I'm not sure. I keep waffling back and forth, because Magic would be something he's used to from home, but tech would be incredibly intriguing to him as he's not used to it and it presents opportunities.

I'm playing Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. For those that haven't seen it, it's an anime spin-off from the game Cyberpunk 2077, set a couple years before it, focusing on different characters. It will also give you emotional damage whenever you hear the song I Really Wanna Stay At Your House afterward. It's about a group of edgerunners/cyberpunks in Night City, in which Lucy is a netrunner (aka hacker), and she already has a massive amount of trauma before the series even starts and then gets piled high with even more during the series -- so, coming to Magisteria, she's going to be one of the very characters who will actually relish the chance to leave her old life behind and get a new start. She's secretive and reclusive, a wallflower, but a daredevil when danger strikes and gentle when she feels she can trust someone (which is rare).
Initially Lucy is going to be pretty dubious about this whole thing, especially magic, which she's not really going to believe until she sees a lot of with her own eyes. She'll almost certainly be going down the tech path! I'd love to find friends for her, people for her to flirt with (any gender, though I'd prefer only f/f for any long-term ships, and those will be slowburn at best because oh boy she has relationship issues), people that she might come to rely on, people from wildly different backgrounds and different personalities that might be an interesting clash or fun dynamic!
As for me, I'm currently waiting impatiently for the next Honkai Star Rail patch, I'm tearing through every queer fantasy novel I can get my gremlin hands on after rediscovering a love for reading, and I'm leveling a demon hunter in WoW while my main (a demonology warlock) is building his little farm in Pandaria. I have too many fandoms to name and a muse list that just keeps getting bigger 😭 At the moment I'm in one other game, Labyrinthum, and I have a bunch of PSLs that I love.
no subject
She definitely wants to show off what a Heroic Spirit can do since Lucy seemed skeptical. XD
no subject
These two seem like they could get up to some shenanigans during events and I'm here for it
no subject
I'm big on the gay vibes myself (as I said, I didn't build no game for the cishets to dominate, and queer and poly relations are common among the natives of Magisteria), so I'm really glad to see the TDM starting off with f/f. In fact, if this game has a big wlw component, I would be in heaven. My main Fate/ girl, Sakura, is a bit young and also has a boyfriend (though in PSLs she has all the girlfriends, lol), but I've been thinking of trying my hand at Soi Fong from Bleach, and if I do, I'll definitely hit Lucy, because I think that dynamic could be (eyesemoji).
Also, you have some great taste! I am canon blind. All I know is Black Swan is gorgeous. I have a friend who uses her emotes all the time, and I am always like, who is that beautiful HSR character, lol. And I finally learned who she is. GORGEOUS!
I am such a stereotype with the purple haired ladies tho...And Entrapta from She-Ra is another character I keep thinking of trying my hand at. She's probably more like rl me than any of my current characters, though, rofl. @ _@ I too have recently begun reading books again! Now that my game is finally launched, that's something I am meaning to keep on more, reading I mean. I intend to make a rec list maybe this weekend, even. You seem really cool. Can I add on Plurk?no subject
I too would die and go to heaven if this game has a big f/f component -- I play every character as gay because I can (although if Lucy gets herself into a poly thing, which would be hilarious, I'd probably be open to any gender so she can live her pansexual dreams). I'm totally canonblind for Bleach but I did just google Soi Fong and went "holy shit she looks like a BADASS" so I hearby wholeheartedly encourage you to try your hand at here lmao
And YES Black Swan is so gorgeous 😭 HSR characters are all pretty but they really knock it out of the park sometimes. And oooh, I'd be interested in rec list if you do that, I'm def looking for more things to read! You can absolutely add me on plurk 🤠

Musashi is from Fate/Samurai Remnant by way of Fate/Grand Order, and yes, she is the Miyamoto Musashi, but from an alternate timeline where she was born a woman. Not quite as famous as her male counterparts, but still respected highly by the swordmasters she duelled against, her theory of applying Buddhist principles to swordplay in an attempt to reach enlightenment and escape the cycle of reincarnation led her to become unstuck from her own timeline and bounce around multiple different worlds, and this was all before she died and became a Heroic Spirit. Nominally a Saber, she's actually a Berserker here, and quite happy with that arrangement (she considers her Saber self to be a bit of a humourless stuffed-shirt). Briefly did manage to reach enlightenment and stopped existing, somehow she's here in Magisteria, and this world is so fascinating she doesn't even mind! She's eager to explore this world and maybe even set down some roots since it seems like she won't be catapulted to another world anytime soon. She wants to meet and fight lots of cool people and find a new goal to work towards now that she's perfected her Niten Ichiryu. Very open to the idea of flirtation and romance, and yes, as a dual-wielder she "cuts in both directions" if you take my meaning. She'll be exploring the Magic path.
John Wick is, well...John Wick! Man of few words and a ludicrously high body-count. Loving husband, classic American muscle car aficionado, dog lover, also known as the Baba Yaga from his days as the number one hitman of the Tarasov Crime Syndicate, the man you sent to kill the Boogeyman. He managed to retire from that life after meeting a woman, his future wife Helen, and performing an impossible task from his boss Viggo Tarasov to leave the criminal life behind, and for a few years things were peaceful. But then Helen contracted Dead Movie Protagonist's Wife Disease and died, and a day later Viggo's dumbass son Iosef stole John's car and killed the puppy Helen had left him as a way to cope with his grief. Then a lot, and I mean a lot of people died because John can't let insults go and has to seek redress, and things quickly spiralled beyond his ability to control. John ended up on the hitlist of The High Table, the governing body of criminals in his world, and tried to wage a one-man war against them in order to be free, but things didn't go as well as he had intended (really, he hadn't put a lot of thought into his plans, and there were consequences, and not all for himself either), many of his friends died, and John was forced to fight more than one of them himself. But in the end, he did manage to win his freedom, and find peace. And now he's here! John is...cautiously optimistic about Magisteria now that he's had time to come to terms with it all being real, but this optimism is tempered by the realization he doesn't really know how to live without Helen, or with a gun in his hand, and he's not eager to take up the latter again, not unless it's for a damn good cause. So he's interested, but listless and without direction, but he didn't arrive alone; he has The Dog, a pitbull he crossed paths with after wreaking holy hell on the Tarasovs and took under his wing. The Dog is a very good boy who did nothing wrong. John will be poking around the Technology path.
I'm EST and working full time, so I'm usually active later in the evening, though I have my weekends free, which I am well glad of. Feel free to contact me through my journals, or via Plurk or Discord, both of which are at samuraimarmoset. Like Cosmo, I'm also in Labyrinthum. Get to know me, I'm amazing.

And speaking of cross-canon...
John Wick: I'm actually thinking of bringing Gilgamesh down the tech path to explore something different, so he and John will have more chances to interact. They're very different sorts of individuals, but I'm sure it'll be Interesting. GILGAMESH, IT MUST BE SAID, IS KIND OF MORE OF A FELINE MAN.
Ten | Rhea'li Akhbala
He's a magic jock (good at doing magic, very allergic to libraries) but I'm interested in getting him pulled into the Technology path in Magisteria; his form of magic is based in mathematics and largely centered around the creation of magical constructs, so there's some level of transferrable skills. He has an offhand interest in robotics and AI because of some experiences but never had the time to learn more about it... until now. His hobbies are fishing and fighting and after all the excitement of the last however-long-the-FFXIV's-plot-has-taken, he's ready for some R&R in Magisteria where nothing weird is going to happen, right? Right.
I'm live in Australia and am pretty busy all the time, but you can contact me via journal DM or on Plurk at
no subject
Gilgamesh will also be going tech, so I'm sure they'll have mission CR potential together. I still gotta hit y'all up on the TDM. Also, I am going to add on Plurk if that's okay, especially since you and Chips are not in the Discord and I want to make sure I have everyone for plotting.
no subject
Ehehehe I'm excited to have CR with Gigamesh! I'm only passingly familiar with his FATE incarnation but what I have seen of him has been entertaining.
Added you back on Plurk! I tend to be more reachable on Plurk/OOC plotting/journal DMs since being on Australian time means it's hard to catch up on Discord plotting. Looking forward to playing off both your characters o7

Soundy used to be a villainous hero, but now he's mostly a good-ish guy now. Very much a gray morality type. Still sucks at being social. Whatever his alignment, Soundwave at his core is someone who fights for peace and equality and he's been searching for a home where his people can lived in peace as equals. He's polite and quiet, but has a blunt side that might makes him come off as a jerkass at times. He sucks at making friends, but he definitely needs friends because he's never felt so lonely before.
Initially, he'll be hiding himself somewhere, and just goes around as his human avatar for like the first two months. he won't be hiding his real identity, but he isn't going go around telling people, either. Magic exists in the Transformers IDW universe but Soundwave wasn't there for it when it was first introduced on his planet. Too busy on Earth, but he's heard some bits and pieces. Thus, he'll be exploring the Magic path
you can contact me via Plurk. i'm kinda a ghost there, but sometimes i post art there. right now i'm doing art comms, and that's about it. i'm boring.
no subject
Soundwave will find that he can do well in either form in Magisteria, but I think it's cool that you've decided to take him down the magic path! That's a bold choice for someone whom others might assume would go down the tech side (tho lol I'm taking CasGil down tech, too, so). I'm excited to see what you do with him! I'm taking Gil down tech and Sakura with magic, so I'm sure we'll have lots of opportunities to do stuff! Also, I know you're a friend of Melodie's, so I'm sure we'll get on well!
no subject
yea, i figured it'll be fun to have him go down a path he's not totally familiar with.
any friend of melodie's is supercool, so i'm doubly sure we'll get on well! thanks for the welcome!
ignoring how late i replied cuz busy IRL lmaono subject
I'm playing my V from Cyberpunk 2077. He's a 1.0 V so he's 28 instead of 23. The song "Been Good to Know Ya" still gives me a tummy ache even though it's been years. Like Lucy, Vincent is going to be super duper dubious about everything. He expects that this kindness and the shiny happiness on top of it all is a thin veneer into the same sort of rotted core that Night City is. He'll definitely be going down the tech path because it's something he is more familiar with and understands, and once he starts getting his toys back he will be almost as delighted as he was to find out that Nibbles came with him here. He will spend more time in the red light district than up with the elites because it's what he knows best. (You can take the kid out of the street, but you can't take the street out of the kid, yadda yadda.)
I'd love to find friends for him, people to flirt with, people to (suggested eyebrow waggles) with, and I love a good frenemy relationship with him. He has a general preference towards masc-leaning folk for any serious committed relationship, but I keep it canon that he ended up with both Kerry Eurodyne and Panam so I mean whatever happens happens. :> Any relationship deeper than a puddle is going to be pretty slow burn, and anything actually romantic has a general tendency to be pulling teeth with him but idk maybe someone will figure out how to gracefully get there. (Vincent has a huge fear of abandonment so clearly the only good choice is to destroy those relationships before they blow up in his face, right?) I am very happy to work with you guys outside of game to figure out how to best build a relationship because the healthier and smoother things are going, the more erratic he can be. Just to kinda set the tone, my friend describes Vincent as a feral cat: near impossible to tame, but once you do he's an absolute kitten.
Um... Other than that, for me? Well, we already know I might have a problem when it comes to Cyberpunk. (The box set is Cyberpunk 2013 by the by, the very first edition. There's a character sheet still in there and someone even drew the art for him! It's great. I'm still delighted by this.) I'm busy spreading LIBERTY and FREEDOM in the name of SUPER EARTH (Helldivers 2) and have recently started playing Cult of the Lamb, which has been very fun. I'm waiting on the gardening patch for Forever Skies. Once that drops it's all over for me. Taking a break from MMOs at the moment due to burn out, but I'm a raid leader in FFXIV and I've recently resubbed to WoW and have been really enjoying Dragonflight. Other than that, I'm in something like 5 TTRPG campaigns? They're primarily Pathfinder 2E, I have one D&D 5E, and my Cyberpunk RED campaign is going to get started back up again once I get back from the vacation below.
Just as a heads up: I'm going to be taking a vacation from March 28-April 6 in which I'll be out of state. March 29th-April 1st I'll be in California learning how to snowboard so I will not be able to reply during then, but the rest of the time I'll be in Texas visiting a friend and will have my laptop. :> I might just be a little slow overall and quiet in the discord.
no subject
Also, I really enjoyed V and Lucy's dynamic from our TDM thread (which I will reply to sometime today). They're both wary as shit, Lucy's half convinced his Arasaka patterned eyes means he's going to turn on her at any point, but they're also two souls beaten down by Night City and Lucy is juuust homesick enough to want to keep him around lmao
no subject
I have too!! He's not showing it right now but he's so glad there's someone else from Night City there he can talk to. I hope someday Lucy admits that she thought he was an Arasaka suit so that he can laugh so hard he can't even breathe, but he's also just going to be waiting for her to stab him in the back so you know. He's a good dog to keep by and on your side :p
no subject
Lucy will 100% accuse him of being an Arasaka goon at some point lmao. I don't know when, but it'll happen
no subject
I really look forward to it bc I think if the timing of it feels good it'll let V get a really good laugh, and he'll be a lot more willing to open up to her after. Not tell her everything, but be a bit more genuine and honest.
no subject
And yeah, I think they'll have an interesting dynamic that will definitely grow over time! Lucy is very much a slowburn when it comes to trusting people, as is V, so it'll be fun to see how their interactions change and evolve

But I am so excited for both of these men to be very confused. I know that V is gonna be SO CONVINCED that he knows who John is at first.

I'm gonna have Lucy be like dubious 👀 at John Wick too, V and Lucy need to start calling him John Regulararm alkjaksj
no subject
But they will absolutely call poor John "John Regulararm" when not around him

About the character: SecUnit is a “construct”, a biomechanical being made of both organic and robotic parts. (As a note, SecUnit is agender and uses it/its pronouns in canon.) It’s spent most of its existence owned by the bond company that built it, being rented out for security gigs, but hacked its own brain a few years ago and has been secretly consuming as many soap operas/movies/books/albums/etc. as possible. All it really wants to do is sit by itself and watch its huge media catalogue, but of course it’s always getting dragged into adventures and having to save dumb humans from their own dumbness.
It’s going to be tentatively pretending to be a cybernetically-enhanced human for now; with a high collar and long sleeves/pants most of its inorganic parts are covered. It does come free with 3 little drones, which surreptitiously hover around and help it collect data/scout the perimeter/observe people without actually having to look at them because it has serious anxiety, please no eye-contact, it is so awkward orz.
Looking forward to playing with everyone! Please feel free to add me on plurk, I love new friends! :D

Chips | Emet-Selch from Final Fantasy XIV
As for myself, my interests lie in anime and gaming. Particularly Final Fantasy (7 Rebirth really doing a number on me), Detective Conan/Magic Kaito (hype for the upcoming movie), and other various series.
I work retail and live in the GMT+10 timezone region of the world so my tagging is a bit on the slower side. I won't be in the discord server so if you need to contact me please either DM this account (preferred) or DM
no subject
My current obsessions are FFXIV and The Apothecary Diaries, but I also enjoy other games, anime, and vtubers. I also sometimes do art and have an adorable but clingy grey cat named Gracie. I'm in the CST/CDT timezone but sometimes my schedule turns nocturnal because sleep is hard.

menace to societyOCs, Bishop, here - a demon slayer, soldier, assassin, and former hitman turned special agent for a PMC. He's coming from a version of world where the end times are upon them, the repent-all-ye-sinners kind of deal. Demons, ghosts, cryptids, you name it, he's probably killed at least one of them. He's generally an OK guy, but is a bit on the agent of chaos side of the alignment wheel. He's also a very achieved chef, which is where he's mostly kept together but also will stab someone with no regrets if they disrespect food.
As for me, I'm coming off a several month hiatus so I might be a little slow at times. I am from the Philippines (GMT+8) but I work nightshifts EST. I am gamer, with FFXIV, Honkai Star Rail, FGO, Genshin Impact, Arknights, Persona 3 Reload, and Shin Megami Tensei V being the current games I'm playing. The fandoms I'm into are mostly Gundam, Fate series, Persona series, Pokemon, and Assassin's Creed, but I do dabble in anime and manga on occassion. Mostly manga. Oh yeah, I am also obsessed with owls. Love 'em to death. Not even kidding, Bishop transforms (or will transform) into an owl and other birds. Anyway-
Nice to meet y'all!
Rose | Crowley
I'm playing Crowley, and this is my second dwrp game ever, I absolutely do not know what I'm doing. I'm on plurk at
Crowley is mostly using he/him currently, but there's Genders there and especially when he regains his ability to shapeshift that's not set in stone, gender is very optional for angels/demons. He's broken up about Aziraphale leaving and may be looking to fill the Aziraphale-shaped hole with someone else, if only to prove that someone wants him. (Issues? Who, him? It's not like being rejected by the god that created you would give you self esteem problems...)
As for me, I'm... a nerd? I read a lot of fanfic, I play a lot of video games--mostly Honkai Star Rail right now, holy shit patch 2.1. I don't do much movies/tv, I'm basically all books and video games. (I'm aware I'm playing a TV canon. There are some exceptions! But they're very rare!) I work at a bra store. I love musicals more than is probably healthy. (Currently sucked myself back into Phantom of the Opera with the Royal Albert Hall recording... I've watched it twice this week and now I'm listening to it while I do other things...)
I'm in CST in the US, and primarily active in the evenings, other than when I have the day off, which can be at any time because retail. (I do actually like my job, because I'm a mutant, but the schedule sucks sometimes.)

Heya Rose! I'm really enjoying your Crowley and having fun with our threads :3
